Review - Beauty Treats/Heart Love Correction Palette

Hey everyone!

This post is about an affordable color correction palette. This comes from the brand Beauty Treats, and I review their matte powder blush palette a while ago - and I am still loving it.

However, I am not loving this one...

The Red Haired Demon

As you can tell, there are ten colors. Each of these colors do certain things, like green cancels out red tones. Purple and white brighten/highlight.

The Red Haired Demon

This is a cream product, however it is very stiff... Almost like its dried up. And, once you do get enough product to put on your face, its not worth it. It makes your skin feel super oily and sticky... I was afraid that it was going to cause my foundation to move around. And, I even set it - which I always do... This product was one that I could not wait to wash off.

The packing is pretty basic... Black plastic, clear window. It's the same as the matte blush palette.

Final Thoughts:
Would I buy it again: No, I would not.
Would I recommend it: Never... I would tell people to stay away!
Do you think its worth it's price: Yeah... I give this one to them.
Have you ever tried this product? If you have, what were your thoughts? I'd love to hear them!

Love,
Rachel

Mini Haul

Hey everyone!

Today's post is a first. Its a haul, a small haul but a haul nonetheless.

All of these items are ones that I bought off of style21.com.

Two of the items are the same, and those are the JCAT eyeliners.
The other items consist of two NYX jumbo eye pencils, one in the shade milk and the other in pure gold. A Cherimoya lip crayon in the shade coral. And, then three nail polishes all by Sally Hansen.

I plan on doing reviews on all of these products. I also plan on doing a wear test/review of these nail polishes, to see which one actually holds up. And, yes, you may say that I have a thing for red polish because its true.

Thank you for reading.

Love,
Rachel

Disclaimer: I bought these myself, and was not asked to talk about them.

February Favorites!

Hey everyone!

Today, I am going to share with you my favorites for the month of February!

The Red Haired Demon

I have seven products, all makeup/cosmetic related that I am going to talk about.

The Red Haired Demon

Starting at these lower five items, I'll go from the bottom to the top.
The lipstick at the bottom is Covergirl's Lip Perfection Lipstick in the shade Soulmate. Though, it seems that I can not find this shade for sale anymore - that's just my luck. The lipstick is a beautiful shade of pink I thought it was perfect for Valentine's day.

Next, we will go to the brows. The pencil shown in the pictures is not as dark as it seems... It was just a case of bad lighting - Sorry. The pencil is by the Ulta brand, and its in the shade golden blonde. As you can tell, it has a spoolie one end, and of course the pencil on the other.
My brows are a light red, that match my hair, until you get to the arch and the tail. And, this area is blond. Its so blonde that you can't see it. My mom told me that I needed to stop over plucking my brows, then I explained and she - being a blonde herself - totally got it. This pencil adds the perfect color.

Next, we have that little black pointed sponge. This is NOT a beauty blender brand sponge - just to make that clear. This is from a little three pack that I picked up one day from my local Tuesday Morning. This sponge, the exact brand I have no idea but I found a close one here, is perfect for the eye area as it is pointed on the end.

Then, we have that strange blue looking egg with all the lines on it. That my friends is a brushegg, and it is amazing! I had a little concealer brush that never seemed to get clean until I used the brushegg. I plan on doing a more in depth post about, so make sure to look for that.

And, finally, for the first part of my favorites, we have something that I love! And, that is BLAMtastic Skins Step 3: Prevent Lotion. I love this stuff! It has salicylic acid in it to help prevent breakouts. I've tried a bunch of products for my skin, and this one really works for it! Plus, its cruelty free, and the proceeds go to a good cause! Win - Win!

The Red Haired Demon

And, now for the last two products! These are both something that have graced this blog before, but they are still favorites!

The first one being the Matte Blush Palette by Beauty Treats. You need to give it a try. Its amazing. And, I wrote a review on it recently.

And, the very last product is the Makeup Revolution Iconic 2 eyeshadow palette. Its an amazing palette with highly pigmented eyeshadows that rival the Naked 2 eyeshadows. I wrote a post about it as well!

What were your favorites for the month of February? Have you ever tried any of these products? Please comment below!

Until next time!
Love,
 Rachel

Disclaimer: I am not being paid by ANY of the companies//brands mentioned above. They are just good products that I wanted to share.

Figuring out a schedule...

Hey everyone!

I don't know what I want to post today, so I am making two little posts just to fill the void.

One thing that has been on my mind when it comes to my blog is figuring out a blogging schedule. I want to have days that you all know when I am going to post. And, I like having a schedule so I know what I need to do.

Therefore, I am going to be trying to post something on Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Now, there might be a random post thrown in there as an extra but those are going to be my main days.

I figured those days would work out well when I start college as well. Keeping my blog up to date, but not killing me in the process.

Until next time,

Love,
Rachel

Beauty Treats Matte Blush Palette - Review & Swatches

  Hey everyone!

Today, I am going to be talking about something that I am loving right now. Its a blush palette by the brand Beauty Treats.

I personally had never heard of this brand until right before last Christmas when I was doing a bit of online shopping. It was on sale, for under ten US dollars, and no one had left a review for it - that made me curious. Was it a crap product? Or, was it amazing but no one was talking about it?

So I bought it; my curiosity got the better of me. And, I have to say, I'm glad I bought it.

As you can tell, there are ten colors in this palette in a variety of colors ranging from light to dark. I think this would work on any skin tone. You can mix shades together to make a custom shade as well.

I'm a pale gal;I generally use the lightest shade in any foundation - in true match colors, I am W1. I find that the first shade on the top row to not show up on me very well. Though I can build up the color.

My favorite shades out of the palette are the second and third - from the left - upon the top row.

Let me warn you though, these are extremely pigmented! Do one swipe of color, then tap your brush off a few times because you can very easily look like a clown with these!

Also, these blushes have a little bit of a smell. Nothing like the Coty Airspun Powder - that I reviewed a few weeks ago... I wish the Coty powder smelled like these.
The smell is sweet, maybe mixed with a little bit of floral. I find it pleasant but some people may not.

 Final Thoughts:
Would I buy it again: Yes, I would.
   Would I recommend it: Highly!!
Do you think its worth it's price: Yes, I do.

You can find it here.
You can also find it other places as well, but I am lazy today and only putting one..

Have you ever tried anything from this brand? If you have, please leave a comment. Also, if there is anything else that you think that I should try, plus comment as well.

See you on the next one!

Love,
 Rachel

When you have an amazing artist for a cousin...

You got amazing art, inspired by your blog.

Thank you to my cousin, whom I'll call T because I didn't ask if I could say her name. She drew this for me Tuesday when she learned that I have a blog... Thank you doll!! I love it so much! I've been thinking of getting it framed!

See you on the next post!

Love,
Rachel
